Reed James Engineering – Terms & Conditions of Sales
1. Sales: All sales are final, no cash refunds.
All Reed James Custom Pickups are thoroughly tested before packaging and shipping. As of this writing, there has never been
a Reed James Custom Pickup that was “Dead on Arrival”!
All sales of Reed James Custom Pickups must be paid in full and fully cleared before starting work
and or shipping, with no exceptions. Personal checks are not accepted. (We are still chasing a few bad apples that have damaged
our trust!) expect up to 30 day lead times longer for one off custom orders
Orders of $399.99 or less can be paid by
PayPal, U.S.P.S Money Order or Major Bank Cashers Check.
Orders $500.00 and up must be paid with
U.S.P.S. Money Order or Major Bank Cashers Check.

in the future.)

Shipments: All shipments of Reed James Custom Pickups are Insured Shipping with a major carrier, with no
exceptions. (Even the best carriers make mistakes and cause damage) if you made your payment with pay-pal all order will be
shipped to the address listed on pay-pal no exceptions.
In case of Shipping Damage: Inspect the Box upon arrival. Is it crushed or punctured? If so, take
Pictures! Carefully open & inspect its content for damage. Report shipping damage within 24 hours of arrival to assure
a valid claim! All packaging material must be saved for Proof of Shipping Abuse.
3. Installation: Luthiers spend year perfecting
their craft and learning how to avoid damage – Professional Installation is highly recommended.
Damage will occur if the following precautions
are not observed:
Keep your Pickups separated! – Do not allow your Pickups to stick together or to any other magnetic surface!
Avoid touching or putting pressure of any
kind against the Coil windings of your pickups.
4. Returns: All Warranty Claims or Rewind Requests
for Reed James Custom Pickups must be submitted within 30 days of sale. Claims or Rewind Requests submitted after 30 day will
be subject to a $30.00 rewind fee plus shipping.
Returned Pickups must be packaged well and returned for warranty inspection for all claims. Customer
pays return shipping. If it is determined you have received a defective product due to faulty material or craftsmanship, your
parts will be repaired or replaced and reshipped to you, with your return shipping gladly refunded. As of this writing, we
have never had a return due to claimed defects in materials or workmanship, so this is just for the lawyers!

5. Sales Accounts – Please send an E-mail
request for a quote if you fit any of the following categories. Please include total estimated units, type, units per month,
etc:
Individual
sales: Quantity discounts available.
Wholesale: For retail sellers wishing to carry our products.
Long Term Contract: For larger
quantities delivered over time.
